Nendoroid vs Pop Up Parade: Which Good Smile Line Suits You?

Both come from Good Smile Company but serve different collectors. Here’s how Nendoroid and Pop Up Parade compare.

5 min read Independent guide

Good Smile Company makes two very popular lines that beginners often weigh against each other: Nendoroid and Pop Up Parade. They’re quite different in size, style and intent.

Nendoroid

Nendoroid are small (around 10 cm), cute, deformed-proportion figures with interchangeable faces and parts, so you can change expressions and poses. They’re playful and highly collectible, and tend to include more accessories.

Pop Up Parade

Pop Up Parade figures are fixed-pose, more realistically proportioned, and a bit larger. The line is designed to be affordable, released at a consistent size and on a relatively quick schedule.

Which is right for you?

  • Want something cute, poseable and expressive? Go Nendoroid.
  • Want an affordable, ready-to-display statue of a character? Go Pop Up Parade.
  • Both are beginner-friendly and widely available for popular characters.
